Caramel Apple Smores
We were invited to a friends harvest party this fall. The challenge was to bring something to eat with apples for the fall harvest. As usual, we were running late and hadn’t planned anything so we scrambled our first batch of Caramel Apple S’mores together.
The caramel apple smores were a huge hit so we re-made them for the blog. These really only take 10 minutes to put together and they traveled well as they sat in the car for hours before the party. When we brought them in, they looked like they were fresh out of the oven.
Recipe:
- Honey Maid Graham Crackers – Low Fat – 14.40 Ounces
- Jet Puffed Marshmallows, 10 oz
- Torani Caramel Sauce 16.5 Oz. Squeeze Bottle
- Realemon 100% Lemon Juice, 15 oz
- An Apple
This recipe is very simple. Start by mixing a bowl of 1 part lemon juice to 2 parts water and pre-heat your oven to 350. Cut the apple the apple into slices and put them in the bowl of lemon juice water. This will prevent the apple from turning brown.
Next, break the graham crackers into squares and put on a baking pan like this:
Not too hard yet, right? Well, next you have to put a marshmallow on each square.
Ok, still following? Now, place the tray in the oven until the marshmallows start to turn brown. They may get a little bigger and start to flatten out. That is totally cool. This will take a few minutes. Just keep an eye on them.
Now, take your apple slices and press them into the marshmallow.
Finally, drizzle some of the caramel on top. I didn’t even wait for the marshmallow to cool. Serve on a serving tray.
