Sumac Old Fashioned Recipe…
Previously, we posted an article about how to make Sumac Lemonade. It was a huge hit with the family and we have made regular trips out in the woods to pick fresh sumac. The sumac tea, sugar, and lemon made the drink the perfect combination of savory, sweet, and fresh. Today, we are taking that lemonade and demonstrating an amazing Sumac Old Fashioned Recipe that will impress all of your guests.
This fall drink is great for cheering on your favorite football team or drowning your sorrows of their loss, depending on the weekend. Pair this drink with Grilled Pheasant Poppers for a complete fall experience.

How To Make A Sumac Lemonade

How To Make A Sumac Old Fashioned Recipe
But we thought, “Why let this great lemonade go to waste just sitting in the fridge!?” After the kids went to bed, we played around and made this awesome Sumac Old Fashioned Recipe.
Ingredients:
- Sumac Lemonade – (Sumac Wild Lemonade Recipe)
- Johnnie Walker or another whiskey
- Orange
- Fresh Sumac Berries
- Fresh Rosemary
Equipment:
- Glass Tumbler
Instructions
Start by making your sumac lemonade and chill in the fridge.
Then, get your Johnnie Walker out and pour it into a tumbler over ice and a sprig of rosemary.
After your whiskey chills, add an orange slice to the rim and pour your sumac lemonade.
Garnish with fresh sumac berries and rosemary.
